Before any of y'all start questioning Bennett's call on 4th and 1, and all his other 4th down calls, it's not his fault, it's the line, if we can't pick up a yard its not the call. It's the line, and as I posted earlier, in the big, the line has been the weakest link over his tenure.

it is his fault. for not putting in a God damn jumbo set. Didn't we learn this lesson last year @ Rice? I guess not. Besides, he should have kicked the FG. Tulsa's offense is too good. They'd need a TD which is a lot harder than a FG.

You are right. He didn't recruit any of these players or hire the OC that called the plays or hire hte OL coach.

Call the same play every time and not get the biggest baddest guys in there? Could have put Hurst or McKinney as a fullback.

Doesnt he watch football on Sundays to see what the PROs do?

Coaches do this all the time. SMU was not MAN enough to get the job done. I have no problem-if you can's control the line of scrimmage and score from the 1 you don't deserve to win

Blah blah blah, its the model, its the model. How in the hell did we win 6 games last year? Was it just dumb luck? How is it we cant win on the road? We certainly dont have a "HOME" field advantage at home. We are poorly coached.

The administration will take care of what it needs to, and as I understand it, it has been in the works to get the degree programs, etc. to help. But coaching needs to be better!

well, I feel reasonably certain we will have a different coaching staff in here next year...with basically the same players. Let's see if we do any better on those 1st-2nd-3rd-4th and goal situations next year

I'm still in favor of tossing a midget over the goalline. That seems to me like a safe bet.

Isnt the line that we have out there "recruited" by the coach? I say it's his fault

The O-line failed with the game on the line. Martin was hit at the 3 yard line, way too much penetration. Tulsa had one of the worst defenses in the country, and we were stuffed again.

How about the running back getting air borne and dive over the pile? Oh well, just a thought.
