No they WERE NOT good enough to win-they FAILED to get the most basic job in Football done-then they let the other team go 99. The Players did not get the job done. PERIOD. Excuses are for losers who blame every loss on Coaches

Stallion is right about one thing, at least - our D, which looked good most of the day, fell apart on the final drive.

It might not be all on the coaches, but we can't fire the players. Bennett may be doing an OK job as a coach (I disagree, but I could see the argument), but he recruited these players and they have consistently failed throughout his tenure.

Time for a change...unfortunately I fear we might just end up right back here again in a few years unless the changes Stallion keeps talking about end up happening.

What about the almuni and few remaining fans of SMU football....aren't they owed something as well?

Of course we deserve more as alumni and fans. The athletes who bust their tails daily in some way for this school deserve the opportunity to give us more by being put in the best possible situations to win. That unfortunately hasn't happened with Coach Bennett. 4 runs up the middle and not one play action pass attempt. Unacceptable. No offense but Martin hasn't proven worthy this season to put the game in his hands on consecutive plays.

Probably shouldn't bleed over to war analogies, but I guess if an army loses a war, it's not the general's strategy or execution, but each little soldier's fault?

Did the Offensive Line get the job done? Did the defense get the job done. Was it asking too much for either offense or defense to get the job done. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. They played honrably and valiantly but they didn't get the job done. Its over.

Stallion is a joke! Don't buy into his theory which is full of holes. If you looked at that game and came away saying Tulsa had better athletes on the field, I would seriously suggest Dr. Tylock. 4 runs up the middle and not one play action pass attempt. Parcells did it with the Cowboys and I'm happy he's gone. I'll be happy to see Bennett elsewhere next season.

I think you're wrong. Both the Offense and the D held their own ALL DAY LONG. We almost won. We also won 6 games last year. At any rate, these are the kids Bennett recruited.
