Why oh Why do you do a 4th and 1 out of the Shotgun?? Why not put a lead blocker in?? You cannot get a burst of speed on a handoff out of the shotgun-No Way No how. That is Coaching not DeMyron

Why should we change now - running short yardage out of the shotgun hasn't worked for 3 years - Isn't the off season the time to come up with a new solution to an old problem. We runn the same thing with the same personnel for two years and failed. Coaches get paid to address that. Bennett said we would not come up one yard short this year. This year we have come up short more times than I can remember on all sorts of short yardage situations.

Can't we all just admit what we already know? It wouldn't have mattered if we had kicked the fg or not, Tulsa would have driven the length of the field and put it in the end zone no matter what.

perhaps so, but a coach should give his team the best opportunity to win. Forcing tulsa into requiring a touchdown would have changed their play calling, our play calling, and hopefully the outcome.
