I didn't see this game last nite but I've watched this Case Keenum kid really play pretty strong for UH in the last month or so. Man UTEP really plays some wild games every week-Note the 5 consecutive lead changes to end the game. BTW some ridiculous rushing games last Nite -Forte 278 yards on 44 carries; Aldridge 204 yards on 27 carries and Thomas 178 on 28 carries.

UH tops UTEP in west Texas shootout
(10/27/07 - EL PASO, TX) - Case Keenum ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, and Terrance Ganaway scored the game-winner in the fourth quarter of Houston's 34-31 victory against Texas-El Paso on Saturday night.

Anthony Alridge had another big night for the Cougars (5-3, 4-1 Conference USA), rushing for 204 yards on 27 carries. Alridge, who has 1,063 yards on the season, ran 17 yards to the UTEP 2 to set up Ganaway's 1-yard plunge for the lead with 7:01 remaining.

Ganaway's TD was the fifth consecutive lead-changing score. The Miners (4-4, 2-2) had gone ahead 31-27 less than two minutes earlier on Jeff Moturi's 35-yard touchdown catch from Trevor Vittatoe, their second TD connection of the game.

Vittatoe completed just eight of 23 passes, but three were for touchdowns. He had 134 passing yards.

Keenum scored Houston's first two touchdowns on runs of 12 and 20 yards, and he threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Perry McDaniel to give Houston a 24-20 lead early in the fourth quarter. Keenum was 13-of-20 passing for 116 yards and added 72 rushing yards.

The Cougars had 520 yards total offense and no turnovers. UTEP's Marcus Thomas had 178 yards on 28 carries.
