A Mustang is the answer, you just need to figure out the model.

I'd say right now the "model" is about the equivalent of a 1974 Mustang II...all 88 horsepower of it.

I would name Villoria as interim coach since rumors are that he has a contract to be retained even if Bennett is let go. Then you can finish out the season with your existing coordinators and take your time if necessary to hire another coach. As soon as the new coach is hired, he can take over after the season is over and bring in his staff and Villoria goes back to his real job.

I agree with your statement, but someone on this site had information from a "reliable source" that said regardless of the Bennett's future, Villoria's contract called for him to stay on. I have no idea if that is true or where it would fall in line with any negotiations with a prospective coach.

I trust whomever had this knowledge will speak up to verify or disclaim.

I have to believe that allowing Bennett to finish out the season means Orsini's prospect is currently with another team.

You guys are right. We should totally allow the strength coach to dictate who we hire.

Never said he was told he would stay on as strength coach. Maybe he will be Orsini's personal trainer.

I would say that if I was being lured away from LSU to join the staff of a coach that was on his last leg, I would have some kind of assusrance in my contract.

I feel Vic will stay, unless the new coach has a great distaste for his enthusiasm and work ethic (or just a guy he wants to be the strenght coach) Orsini will and probably should allow the new coach to pick and choose his staff. Most new coaches interview some of the old staff to see where their heads are at and then let them go, I know bennet kept a couple when he came on. (Joe Sawyer, Faucet to name 2).
Sports, and all that implies.
