Not happy that someone got fired, but glad all the speculation, countdowns and the generally ugly cloud that has been hovering over the Hilltop these last few weeks is gone.
It seems like the decision was handled with class and I don't mind Bennett staying until the end. Now the players and coaches can get out there and bust their butts without the uncertainty over the program.
Please Orsini hire a "name" coach that will get the media, players, recruits and alumni excited. No unkowns, no unproven coordinators, no people who might have "dreamed of coaching SMU one day" because that would include me. And I haven't coached football since the Chi-Os won a sorority championship.
