If Gill can make a school like Buffalo respectable then I would think he could do even better here-he's definitely a strong possibility if Nebraska doesn't come calling first-and I doubt they would take a coach who has yet to win on a regular basis-image,you know!

One of the key attractions of Gill is that I think he could make Willis into a great College QB-have you ever checked on the number of great college QBs Gill developed at Nebraska? All-Americans, Heisman Trophy winner. You might be right about the hesitancy of top Coaches considering SMU which I have pointed out-so I'm thinking ahead in case of that scenario.
During the height of Nebraska football in the 1990s, with Gill serving as quarterbacks coach, the Cornhuskers had unprecedented success at both the quarterback position and as a team. Gill - rated one of the top ten recruiters in the nation in 2000 and 2001 by ESPN.com - played a vital role in Nebraska's three national titles, and mentored a string of record-breaking quarterbacks, from Tommie Frazier to Jamaal Lord to 2001 Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch.
Crouch, Frazier and Lord rank as the top three total career offense leaders in Nebraska history (while Gill, himself, ranks eighth). Crouch won the Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award (top player in the nation) and the Davey O'Brien Award (nation's top quarterback) as well as being a first-team All-American in 2001 under Gill's tutelage.
Frazier was also a first-team All-American, Johnny Unitas Award winner and Heisman Trophy finalist in 1995, and led Nebraska to back-to-back national championships (1994-95). Both Fraizer and Crouch were tabbed as Big 12 Offensive Players of the Year. Gill also mentored a pair of Big 12 Conference Offensive Newcomers of the Year in Frazier and Scott Frost (1996). Frost would lead Nebraska to another national title in 1997.
No nO nO nO nO nO nO
How many teams has Turner lead as the HEAD COACH?
If the Answer is 0 . The answer is NO! Frazier and Crouch were great option quarterbacks. They weren't great passers who went on to play in the NFL. No. Please no.

I too believe that Orsini knew exactly what he was saying when he said that he would not comment on Bennett until SMU was mathematically eliminated from bowl consideration. The train may leave the station by about 6:00 tonite. I'm not saying this for shock value like some on here that blame Bennett for every loss-I'm saying it because as a seasoned viewer of SMU Football-it could not be more obvious. He's gone and soon the next time SMU loses. That's just the way it is.
You are probably right, and the saga continues? We will be paying PB through his contract, paying a new HC and starting over. Wow, we continue to wipe our [deleted] before we take a [deleted]?

Although you may be famous, he is a head coach now so the answer to your question is actually 1.

I agree with those that think it ends before the plane lands at Love Field..........That is, if we lose of course.

Dateline-Oklahoma Territory-October 27, 2007. On a cool October afternoon in Oklahoma Territory the hopes and expectations of a Pony Nation were destroyed in a horrific train wreck in which apparently there are no survivors. Early investigations into the cause of the calamity indicate a broken railroad track spike mysteriously removed. The only signs of life at the trainwreck were from a strange lonely kitty answering to the name of Oscar and heading South toward Waco. He is the Most Interesting Cat in the World. The last known picture of the mysterious Cat appears on the page above

Rumor has it that Oscar may make a cameo appearing a movie featuring coaches from 3 former SWC Schools. Stay Tuned!
Oh yeah, Oscar also likes to drink Dos Equis! After all, he is the Most Interesting Cat in the World.
