Will losses cost us C-USA?

Post by Sam I Am »

A losing record may not in itself keep us out of the C-USA, but the the resultant loss of attendance will. How many were at the UTEP game? Dump Bennett or at least his offesnive coordinator.

DMN had the attendance number at a little over 21,000.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I bet the results this season are almost ignored by the C-USA execs. It's not like they were considering SMU because we sold them on the idea that we were going to win the WAC and/or pack the house. The level of the team - and its attendance issues - are no secret. If we had a chance at C-USA, then we still do. If we don't get in, I bet we never were as close as we'd like to think.

What a long flight home with a hangover. I need a win. Bad.
