Houston Nutt is probably one of the top 5 coaches in America. Those Razorback fans our out of their minds. Their negativity have cost them all three of their losses this year.

All i have to say is that if Nutt can win at Arkansas, he can win anywhere in america. The SEC is the toughest conference year in and year out and he has been to the SEC title game 3 times. Just think of what he could do in our conference. His offensive style of ground and pound would be devistating against the smaller oponents he would face week in and week out. And the man is tough, with all that has gone on up there in the last few years and for him to still be a standup guy says a lot about the man.
He consistently does more with less than anyone in the county...and that is SPECIAL.
We need Knute Rockne, not Nutt case. Nutt's personal friends attacked Mustain last year. Vicious emails and such. And Nutt did very little to protect his player. Not much of a players coach if players can be subject to abuse by the coaches buddies. Nutt always has a couple or more players arrested for some felony. They get dismissed and the paper buries the rest of the story. Nutt has had two solid losing seasons and he wins with a classic Frank Broyles schedule of uber cupcakes.
There are many at SMU that remember recruiting the youngster Nutt. Not a one has a positive thing to say about the guy. I disagree that he is a good coach. I disagree that the players and lack of discipline in his program are what SMU wants. And I disagree that he is the man for us.

without a doubt...eveyone is just going on speculation and what the gay arkansas media would throw out....the springdale players were a bunch of spoiled rich kids who didn't get there way.

In all honesty...I believe the most of the high profile coaches out there are going to look the other way when we come calling. But like you say...Nutt may be "ripe for the picking"....any time someone is in a bad situation it doesn't matter how much money they make...they just want to be happy...and i think Nutt would love it here in DFW. It is just one of those years where there are going to be a lot of high profile coaching vacancies(maybe michigan, nebraska, maybe lsu,)

no i don't dispute that has been a shady part of his recored but in all fairness that happens at every program. the guy is better at winning with less talent than anyone else in the country.
As far as the mike mustion kid,, i don't know the facts about that to be honest. however ive heard his former player such as Ken Hamlin rave about him.

Well then I am a liar. I personally think that Nutt would do well at SMU for the very reasons that Ponyte dislikes him. I think he could make a brash impact, big splash, big recruits and on field wins. Then he could move on and we could follow up with a strong and steady coach.
I do not know the kids that know Nutt from recruiting days as does Ponyte so I can not comment on that. I do not have a lot of respect for him as a person, but he can turn a team around quickly.
For those of you that believe him to be a fine Christian man, maybe you need to move on to the Baylor website.
