Not an infinitely reasonable approach for you.

Well, consider what the expectations are--not much about winning in there.
That's pretty gutsy of you...considering your adversion to disappointment. I'm not saying you will be disappointed...only that you have left yourself open to it.

I am worried about him. I may need to find him a seat to sit down for a spell and relax.

Don't ask me how it happened.

On the one play I saw of practice today, Mike Walker dominated.

In all seriousness though, he looks very comfortable handling the ball.

I would hope so...we are counting on him to run the point for this team

He'll be fine, he looks like the type of player that has no problem taking control of the offense. He will probably make a lot of mistakes his freshman year, but he will learn quickly under Doh.

I hope he plays under control when he "takes control" of the offense. Sometimes there is nothing worse for your team than a very young player trying to "take control" and giving what cannot be denied as a great effort, but one which leads to TOs, easy baskets, bad fouls, etc. Mistakes are easy to forgive, but stupid mistakes which arise from out-of-control basketball are killers.

All that said, I like the idea of a true ball-handler at point this year. I hope young Mr. Walker is as advertised.

hopefully these prep kids will come in a step ahead of your average freshman. They got that extra year of experience playing at a very high talent level. Its should help the transition somewhat.

That said, it is more important that Walker be a very good point.
