Daren (Fayetteville, AR): Felix Jones needs some love. What's your take on him and the rest of the Arkansas season???

Mel Kiper: (1:49 PM ET ) First of all, in terms of Jones, he's an outstanding back. He could be a first round pick, if he comes out. If he goes back, he'll be the No. 1 guy. Peyton Hillis, the fullback, is a jack of all trades player. He's returned punts. He's a very viable member of this offense and I think he'll be a solid NFL player.

Mel Kiper: (1:50 PM ET ) And they're getting Marcus Munk on the field. South Carolina has to be demoralized after losing that game to Tennessee. They can beat Tennessee. It's possible that they could win 3 of their next 4 or at the least 2 of 4. That's 7-5. Not bad, considering everything they've gone through. They went through the loss of Munk. Nutt has done a good job, considering everything. Mitch Mustain transfered out to USC and the situation with the offensive coordinator leaving and a couple of other players leaving.
Mel Kiper: (1:51 PM ET ) I'm tired of hearing all the criticism of Nutt as a football coach. He's a good football coach. Arkansas should be happy to have him as a head football coach.

Does anyone have any sources that are saying Nutt will be here next year?

Nutt would be a great get for SMU. I have been a Razorback fan since the late 60's and he is as good a coach as we have had.

A vocal 5% of the fanbase wants to get rid of him but I can't understand why. He is a fine Christian man and is a great example for the players. The things he did for Mason Templeton are well documented. And that's only one example.

Nutt is highly intelligent and articulate. Intelligent and articulate. He's a winner and a fighter.

That's because a few vocal people like yourself are making a lot of noise.

Orsini made it clear that SMU can get any blue chip recruit IN now...transfers and "easy" academics are the only remaining issues.

I dunno... Nutt may be a lot of things, but I don't think he's a bar urinater, so Baylor may not be right for him.

How many names are you posting under? The message seems to be the same, but I can't figure out what his religious stature or affiliation has to do with his suitability of coaching football...it's just a game for pete's sake...not national politics. And even then?... :?

A Coach's moral and convictions have evrything to do with coaching football. Players look up to there coaches. Father figurs to some. I know I would hate it if my boy dint play football for a man with good Christian morals.

And it's not just a game!!!!!

There are about 4 or 5 people that are 1 in the same in this thread. Easy to tell if you are a hog fan because you recognize key phrases they use

"fine christian man" was first uttered by Rick Schaffer, a UA employee who does statewide radio here

95% of the state still supports him was first uttered by Frank Broyles

"Look what he's done for Mason Templeton "Rick Schaffer"

99.9 percent of fans on this board would not have a darn clue about any of this, and wouldnt be able to use phrases that well. Its borrowed lines. Hog fans may be passionate, but they are also really big troll's when it comes to online lurking.

Boy, have I got a news flash for you. You don't have to be a Christian to be a moral person. And yes it is just a game. It doesn't cure cancer or world hunger. It doesn't do anything but provide entertainment...if you're winning.

Spoken like a preacher's kid. Amen, PK. I still like the idea of hiring a wiccan head coach.
