1) Houston
2) UCF
3) Houston

And by 2009 Houston will have all 3.

Tradition? Please...Is this what you call tradition?
already on probation—SMU paid 21 players a total of $61,000, the NCAA invoked unprecedented penalties aimed to "eliminate a program that was built on a legacy of wrongdoing, deceit and rule violations." The NCAA canceled the '87 season. SMU voluntarily voided '88.

How bout...Yoemans Veer, Jenkins Run & Shoot, and the yet to be named Briles offense that will run roughshod over your boys come Sunday....

But hey...good luck with the delusion...maybe it'll be better for you than it was for us after Jugular was sent packing.

1) Tradition is more than FB...Houston is just a glorified community college...what was that famous quote about UH and 7-11's...half the alumni are shopping there...the other half robbing it???

2) We are upgrading our BB facilities and have more $$$ than you...I refuse to concede this point.

3) I believe Dallas has a slight recruiting base advantage to Houston, although both are clearly desirable, but please tell me exactly how your natural recruiting base is better than Rice's???

There's a lot of stuff we don't have on our side. Recent tradition. Admission policies. etc. But, the fact that there's, at most, a school or two that could compete with us in the three categories above tell me that this is far from a dead-end job.

Leave tradition out. We cheated! We have not won in the modern era. We won when we did not wear helmets and we won when we cheated. What tradition?

I thought that is what most of you were discussing. What you are doing? Who gives a [deleted] about what a bunch of has beens are doing on the B, unless the football team is winning, who you, damn we are doomed.

Speaking as a coog, I would say our tradition matches y'alls, don't really think recruits care all that much about anything outside football tradition, but I'll put Bartheleme, Allbee, et al. up against y'all. I'd take Houston over Dallas recruiting, but I'm not sure that helps. When you're in high school you want to get the hell outta Dodge. We should be recruiting Dallas and y'all should be recruiting Houston.

As far as facilities, you have what we want. Ford Field is fabulous (and I'm not just saying that because of the 7-11 across the street). Y'all are fools if you go back to the Cotton Bowl.

What you'll have to deal with, in addition to not being able to get beyond half full, is people whining about the neighborhood. You'll be in exactly the same situation UH is in with its neighborhood. Actually has a lower crime rate than the neighborhoods surroudning Texas. Crime rate on campus is significantly lower than Texas. No one but Southern Miss fans can remember anyone having any kind of problem during or after a game, but we constantly hear "I'm scared to come down there." It's BS, but it hurts us.

If y'all go back to Fair Park, they can put the 101st Airborne down there and people are still going to whine about the neighborhood. Even if they don't Ford Field is the best stadium in CUSA by a long shot.

Just for the record, I'm NOT advocating returning to the Cotton Bowl. I'm just questioning the traditional argument about 'facilities'.

Better question, since you are going after everybody else on what they are doing.

What are you doing, except posting like someone suffering from an acute case of knuckleheaditis?

This might be breaking news to you pops but the most we can really do is buy season tickets, attend games, support the program and contribute to the Mustang Club.

If you're suggesting anything beyond that, I'd certainly like to know.

And by the way, Bennett deserved to get fired. 18-48 ain't gonna cut it, buddy!

I remember when SMU played in Texas Stadium, it was too professional and again, for non conference games was like a tomb because it was sooo empty.
