There are 350 Division 1A prospects in Texas. Dallas-FW has more Division 1A prospects than about 45 states. You'd have to be a nutt not to focus on Texas recruiting-you can not do what Doherty does in BB in FB recruiting. However, check out the states in the CUSA footprint especially Oklahoma and Louisiana. If you have some ace recruiters in other areas use their contacts. As far as I know about 99% of the Coaches that coached in Texas have felt the same way. Rice at times have attempted National recruiting because of their standards-miserably I might add.

I've posted this before. He does not have a good rapport when it comes to dealing with Texas High School coaches. His pretty-boy and flashy image will not work with them.

I don't know why you would say such a thing. This is your argument for "absolutely NOT"???

Seems Mr. Switzer and Jimmy Johnson were both flashy - seems they did o.k. with recruiting in texas.

Since when do high school coaches not like flashy? - they are all pretty cheesy anyway - they eat it up.
