one of my first posts on ponyfans was how much I thought the Bennett hire sucked. I always felt that he was given way too much credit for the defense at Kansas State and way too much credit for having "ties" to Texas high school coaches. Then the staff he first hired was like the blind leading the blind. Every Texas High School coach could think you are great, but when you are coaching at a school that has not had a winning season in 20 years and does not take football seriously....they'd rather send their players to Houston, TCU, or UTEP if they are not going to play in the Big 12
