SMU is in the top half of the following two categories:

#1 Punting (38 yd net) -- UH #11 (30 yd net)
#5 Sacks (16 in eight games) -- UH #10 (11 in eight games)

Red Zone Defense:
UH is #11 in C-USA (allows 92% conversion)
SMU is #10

4th down conversions:
SMU #7 (43%)
UH #4 (61%)

3rd down conversions:
SMU #11 (36%)
UH #3 (46%)

SMU goes for quite a few 4th down conversions (14 attempts in eight games) but UH and Memphis go for it the most times (18 attempts in eight games for UH). Briles goes for it quite a bit at the UH 29 yard line on the first series.

The stats don't break down when the game is on the line, on the road, in the red zone (e.g., Rice and Tulsa).
