I believe that YOU said you didn't go to SMU in a previous thread.
And YOU started the "only the Shadow knows" cloak and dagger thing in this context. I left you alone about it after you fussed at me about trying to figure out who you were. But you just egg it on; therefore, you do not have the high ground to rip on the rest of us for biting on it. If you don't want to get ripped on, then don't pipe up. That is the culture of the board; if you act indignant or defensive, it's time to get piled on.
As for JWill. I like him "reckless". I like his swagger. Yeah, it would be nice to have him tuck it better. But as Curry said on ESPN, that is something for a coach to deal with. This board isn't going to fix it; therefore, what's the point in arguing about it?
BTW, I knew who mrydel was. Of course, I have been here awhile, despite the lack of posts to prove it.
Bring it on! I can take it, can you?

You said Lewisville ISD, and I told you I live in Denton, Tx where they play real football. He is a coach at the new HS in Denton, Tx. John Guyer HS, but I can't think of his name right now, because I just met the guy at the beginning of the school year. First year to coach.
Then maybe I'm breaking something here? Hmmm.
Maybe?

So it's one of two things. You may not be clear where he is coaching in the Denton ISD or he knows Mason from some other connection.
This guy came to Guyer this year with a younger brother who plays on the JV, due to transfer. He is actually not hired as yet, but Walsh lets him help out with the DB's at practice and in games. On the sidelines and does pregame warm-up stuff like Vic does. Rah Rah kind of guy. He also worked with several of the UNT DB's last year. Trying to think of his name, but can't.

Well, I can tell you there is a Mason connection with an assistant football coach in that district.
As for the real football comment in Denton. Hey, buddy, not so much since the creation of all of these HS is spreading the talent too thin.
And how did the bell cow Ryan do last week at WF Rider? Rider, 45-7, and it was 38-0 at the half. Looks like Rider was showing some mercy afer in the second half.

Because I am a nobody and I have never professed to be something more like you have. But I have two things you obviously do not have. Degrees from SMU.
You're the one who keeps throwing the old "if you knew who I was" around here like you're something special, not me. Best I can tell you are a Walmart employee who is buddies with Willis's dad. That's may be more of a connection to SMU football than I have as just an interested alum, but not much.
Who said I didn't have a degree from SMU?
I thought you did. I apologize if I was mistaken, I thought you said you went to Austin College and played baseball in another post. I have graduated BSME in 1988 and JD in 1995. Whatt degree do you have from SMU?
None, just kidding. Baseball at DBU, brother went to Austin College played football, another brother went to Cameron State played football. Just been SMU fan for 35 years. My degree is in Psych.

You are right the talent is getting spread way to thin. Teams like Ryder are going to be tough to beat from now on. I watched them play, WOW what talent they have. Damn near two deep at every position.

Their QB and RB are big-time DI recruits but are only juniors and I think they have a DB who committed to A&M. Fran to SMU? Switch? Hmmm.
They're going to be a tough out in the 4A playoffs. I could see them playing Fossil Ridge for the Region I title, if they don't meet in bi-district.

I dare you at homecoming to stand up in your section and hold up a sign that says "Proud Alum" a la what Sally Field did with "Union" in Norma Rae.
Probably will not need a sign. I imagine I will be able to stand and whisper and most all in the stadium will hear me.

That's Mark Rydel, linebacker for SMU under the legendary Hayden Fry. What's your SMU connection?
I have just loved SMU football for 35 years or more. Lost contact after the death penalty. Starting raising kids in 1987, moved to Denton in 2001 and started going to SMU games. Nothing like being in the metro and watching Friday night football, and being able to go to Ford on Saturdays and watch SMU football for $8 to $10 bucks.
