Clearly a token Greek hire.
Or Cuban is right?
"Cristobal was exactly what
Athletic Director Pete Garcia and
University President Modesto A. Maidique were looking for."
The 36-year-old
Cristobal becomes the first Cuban-American head coach in major college football.
A native of Havana, Cuba ,
Garcia is a 1984 graduate of the University of Miami
Dr. Modesto A.
Maidique (pronounced may-DEEK,
born in Havana, Cuba March 20, 1940) has been the President of Florida International University since 1986,

Hayden Fry was RB/DB coach at Arkansas before coming to SMU.
Was Dave Smith a coordinator at OSU before head coach at SMU? I do not think so but could be wrong.

So FAR...the ONLY one, and there is ONE so far, is a Cuban former UMiami player hired by the Cuban AD and Cuban President.

Before being hired by Ole Miss , he was the defensive line coach and
assistant head coach for the University of Southern California (USC) where played a key role in Pete Carroll's Trojans winning the national championship in 2003 & 2004. He joined the USC staff in January of 1998, took on the added responsibility of recruiting coordinator for the Trojans in 2001, and was then named assistant head coach in 2003.

Show me.
He doesn't list that on any of his accomplishments.

So you are saying since bigdaddy879548383095 coached Willis in peewee football that he is more qualified than Gill?

It has been placed in front of you 2 or 3 times. Read his resume.

No but he was a HC for 3 years then worked under Bear Bryant...and it was what, 1961?
Sorry to move the target, but name me a coach in the past 30 years, you know, since the SEC allowed blacks to play football.
