SMU football goes GreekHere is a story I bet no one noticed. Another possitive attempt at gaining student support.
www.smumustangs.com/feature.asp?ID=48 SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: SMU football goes GreekI bet the players would have enjoyed a slumber party more.
Re: SMU football goes Greek40% Greek, wow...I didn't know that much. That is a great idea.
Re: SMU football goes GreekI've heard that the greek percentage is a lot higher, apparently they take the count during the fall semester before the freshman rush in the spring, in other words it is a lot higher because you have roughly a quarter of your student body that is not allowed to be greek yet. If you do some quick calculations and remove the freshman from the mix, then its something like 13% of the student body from sophmores to srs are not greek meaning 87% are.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: SMU football goes Greek"The Panhellenic women believe there is necessity to make personal connections with the football players to enhance their desire to go to the games and recognize the players."
Ahem.
Re: SMU football goes Greek"The Greek community includes some of our biggest fans," said Justin Boren, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive guard for the Mustangs. "They're the ones who come out and support us on Saturday nights."
Or until they leave during/directly following halftime. Oh you gotta love it. The horns, the drums, the noise! It's all for the love of music, for the love of the game.
