Ah.... my pops.... he's a smart whipper snapper.
Good letter, he sent it to me over the weekend, and like a good son I didn't read it until just now.
Interesting that they didn't note that he worked for the St. Louis City Plan commission back in the day. I guess that's not noted in his vita, okay so I know it isn't, I'm the one who did his website oh so long ago.... time to update that one methinks.
Thaddeus has just created more work for himself to do.

Perhaps it was The Observer who created more work.... or even my Dad for writing the darn OpEd piece.

I just got word - not living in Dallas - that we lost this one...... we Matula's always lose on pretty much all of our political causes. Hence the reason I moved to Austin.
Though - whether you agree with my father or not - he and my mom did go to the Prop 1 - Vote Yes "Victory" party..... I really love my folks, they keep going to those things, even though they know they are probably going to lose. My mom went to the Kerry party in Big D a few years back.. I'm like mom, c'mon??? This is SMU vs. USC here! But I totally dug that she went.
Maybe that's why I am such a staunch SMU Football supporter. Also why I firmly back Nintendo. Root for the losers! ... Nofriendo.... though the Wii certainly affirmed all my faith in the Big N for all of these years. Now we just need a coach to do the same for SMyUck.
ANYWAY!!!!!!
Happy birthday to my pops - yesterday - anyway. He's 70. So any of you students out there (smu diamond m I'm talking to you) who happen to see him from time to time wish him a happy, albeit belated, birthday.

Wow,
Your dad was my professor in one of my Computer Science classes back in '88.......
We had a year long project to create a program to schedule the exams for every student at SMU, so that there would be no overlap of any student for any course....
I still have nightmares about it

My Dad's course don't normally come in the easy variety.
I must say that project sounds..... daunting.
