But she's Greek, so she has that going for her. What is a Hairopoulos anyway?

I believe that the name loosely means Much Hair.

Who cares what she thinks? Her job isn't to cheerlead, it's to report on what's going on. She does a pretty decent job, too. Maybe her lack of faith is in a particular player, or group of players, not PB. Or maybe she has noticed that Rice put up 50-plus on UTEP and nearly 50 on Houston, and has such faith in the Owls' offense that she thinks they're destined to win. She isn't obligated to root for the team she covers, or to predict they'll win every - or any - game. She gave her opinion, and I'm betting our guys prove her wrong.

I have been an SMU fan for 10 times the years that Kate has been the beat writer. If I were putting money on the game I would take the Owls and the points. And to put that into perspective, even when our teams sucked in the 60's and 70's the Rice game was always a sure win for us. We are now the Rice of my youth.

Kate is an idiot and a hack who trolls this board for story ideas. Why would anyone listen to anything that she thinks. She should go back to covering High School Volleyball where it is easier for her not to totally screw up a story.

Easy, Roy. I think she does a good job.

well...what are we...4-14 against Rice since the death penalty? How has Bennett fared against Rice? I think he's beaten them once?

I'm not worried about whether SMU "covers". A one point W would be nice at this point. I just hope the 1500 turn out for both legs of this Homecoming doubleheader. Pony up!
