Name the scholarship players that quit?
Can't name them all, but I will try. Reggie, the game warden and some other linemen. Maybe someone else posting can help out of this one. I can't find my media guide from last year.

Hes trying to turn a busted play into a jackpot but he cant do that and he just plain F ups...
He'll learn to take care of the ball because once the seasons officially over, there are NO starters and NO ONE is guarenteed [deleted]...
heres to hoping the new coach shakes things up ALOT
What is there to shake up? We are not two deep at any position. We haven't been two deep in 15 years. What are you wishing for a miracle JT? It anit happening at SMU in your lifetime. Support what we have and do the best with that. We are 10 points and 60 seconds away from being 6-4. What would you be typing then?
Theres lots to shake up...and the new coach will do that. as for not being two deep at any position, im sure theres a "backup" at every position no matter if there are excess injuries involved. a new coach will make sure he's atleast 2 and 3 deep at every position...and i'd still be typing the same ol crap i type. Virginias 10 points from being 5 games below .500 but they now control there own destiny for an ACC title. so lets throw "what ifs" out the window for now. or atleast until a new coach is named. and if we were 6-4, would PB still be clearing out his office at seasons end? I DONT THINK SO...but if my memory serves me correct, you said PB was gone at the end of this year no matter what would happen
Name a 2nd or third teamer that we want on the field at this time? We are playing with some backups now that are killing us, but playing their [deleted] off. And yes PB would still be gone. He was gone when Orsini got hear. It just had to be the right time financially. Hey, and were you calling me an Ox or a moron. (:

I hear my guys talk and many of the players feel same way that Willis has not created good chemistry with the team and he is not a team leader or a team player. He is selfish and not discipline. I get the feeling at this point it's all about Willis instead of the other players combined. What a shame. I want the best for the players and their families, Want Willis to learn the best and use his God given talent the right way.
. Maybe he gets competition, He may learn how to be humble. Yes, I blame Coaches for not putting their foot down and giving him the training he needs. But making himout that he is the one that the best is just plain nonsence. That why we loss.
If Big Daddy wants to get me, just come on because I have more blood and concussions on that field than he does.
I wish you knew the entire story. Change yourself into a fly and hear about linemen laughing during film time when they have missed blocks. Kids coming to practice stoned. Injured players, not really injured. Seniors quitting before the season ever started. Players missing practice to sleep because they are tired. Find out the facts first before you type. Jwill trying to do to much, yes, I agree. Need to humble himself, I don't know. He is tired of getting beat by teams that should not beat SMU. Saturday he got really pissed off which tell me he cares. Players were on the sidelines laughing when we were losing. I agree with some coaches that do not allow injured players on the practice field or sidelines. That is something that is earned. Bigdaddy is not going to get anybody. This is a damn good message board and your opinions are actually damn good ones.
Pops, I expect more out of him, so I'm tougher on him because he has a chance to be an extraordinary player. But there are some guys who need to be pushed by competition and Willis needs that in my opinion. And as far as the players laughing are concerned, that crap has been going on all season. Whoever comes here, the entire infrastructure and culture of this program has to change. It has to come from the inside out.
True! I am not pops though. I was JWills youth program coach JT and know this kid like a book. I am actually his God Parent, and God parent to the kid at TT, as well as the running back at Abilene Christian, and several other kids from Plainview, Tx.

JWill a gym rat...hahaha that has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. That boy was one chunky QB until he finally slimmed down a little from last year but honestly, he's really not very athletic. Zach Rhodes on the other hand, is very athletic. I know JWill could never run a 10.7 100...There are simply too many kids on the team who are not gettin the time of day i.e. CButler and Rhodes.
After our bowl dream was dashed rather quickly, no, not a whole lot of us are going to feel very motivated. After our ridiculous coach was canned, we don't feel all that great, can you blame us?

Damn good game from Butler! I thought that was the other kid, Turner or something (one of the speedsters). I think he quit also to concentrate on academics?

Fred Turner. I was wondering what had happened to him. A friend of mine saw him play Plano West in high school and said he was a player. Incredibly fast. It never seemed like Bennett gave him much of a chance to strut his stuff, however.

Talk to Vic about what is what and who is who, then run your mouth southern. I want to tell you something else. Some of the freshmen on the team are older than JWill. Last yeat he had some baby fat because he was a 19 sophmore in college. He is a twenty year old junior? Who needs to run 100 yards in football? Hey dumb [deleted], they measure the talent by running 40 yards. You must be one of the disgruntled players sitting on the bench of the worst team in CUSA. What does that say about you. Stop typing and get to the film room, or weight room.

Yeah, Bennett just never really gave him much of a chance and Fred didn't take well to being placed so low down on the depth chart and being placed on special teams so he called it quits. From what I hear, he's thoroughly enjoying the no-football life

Could not stay healthy. One of those types, not a 12 games a season guy. Kind of like most of our players, except Ben Poynter and JWill. Who else has not missed a game due to injury? Hope I did not jinx them. Oh the center is solid.

That has nothing to do with PB. As we all know PB let his assistants coach (Rusty and Gush). The running backs coach is a black dude who Turner could not play for?

You call that babyfat hahaha wow, if you knew the lifestyle he leads you would know that's NOT babyfat. And yeah, not many of us want to acknowledge the fact that we are one of the worst teams in the nation but they keep on going don't they? Like you've already said, we're the worst team in CUSA but they're tryna do what they can. Dang.
