My point was to ger you people off the backs of the only players who continue to bust their asses for you day in a day out, but all you can do is find something to try and run them off as well. What is the reall issue here on the hilltop. This is JWill thread that focuses on the negatives, why? One of the few players that have kept us in all the games we have lost. Thanks Ben, Justin, Mitch, Emmanuel, Sledge, McCray (playing 3 linebacker positions), Parham, and some I forgot.

Hold up...I don't see this as a thread that was bashing anybody but JWill. Can we just put up our views and opinions without getting bashed? You're just over here gettin' a lil too fired up about things ya know. And who are you saying we 'lost' when you say 'one of the few players that have kept us in all the games we have lost.'

Yeah, Bennett just never really gave him much of a chance and Fred didn't take well to being placed so low down on the depth chart and being placed on special teams so he called it quits. From what I hear, he's thoroughly enjoying the no-football life

That has nothing to do with PB. As we all know PB let his assistants coach (Rusty and Gush). The running backs coach is a black dude who Turner could not play for?

Lets think before we type...a black dude? for real man...watch the racial over tones...the black dude has a name. maybe you should look it up since u seem to know everything about SMU football expect for this black dude

What difference does it make sensitive guy? Black, white, green, blue. Just making a point. If Turner was good enough to play the black guy who played running back in college and a short stint in the NFL, would have got him into the game, because he knows running backs. How many whited guys play running back in football anymore, college or pros?

Dont really know any whited guys that have ever been drafted into the NFL...just calm down, im not sensitive at all, just giving you a VERY hard time because you know SO MUCH about SMU football but you somehow dont remember the RBs coaches name.

I could not think of his name. Just admit when you a wrong. Nothing racial about that. We are the worst team in CUSA and you are blaming PB for Turner not playing. Boy I love this message board. Some of you even make me look smart. Where is Jessie Henderson, or the guy that was preseason all-american pick?

Unless youre Fred Turner, WHO GIVES A FLYING UCK?...and im only gibving you a hard time about the racist material.

FT quit on his own terms and PB was okay with that. If PB wasnt, he woulds done somthing about it. lets not waste time talking about why players quit...in the end, they either quit because they cant go all out on the field anymore or because their heart isnt in the game like it use to be

These kids that are the same age as me dont bust their asses for ME...they should be busting their asses for THEMSELVES, THE TEAM, and the COACHES...and somtimes the school name itself/alums...Boards like this are created for discussion, formal opinion, and something to do when theres nothing else to do...they arent to "BAD MOUTH" anyone...guess you havent ever heard of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM...we all have our flaws and mess up in everyday life, just like these players. this board just happens to single out people on occasions.

JW might keep us in games but as the QB, he can easily take us out of games too...football is a team sport. if all 22 players/THE WHOLE TEAM cant fully contribute, then it doesnt matter who you give props to.

You say you know alot of facts about SMU Football, well I know for a fact that some of the players DO NOT leave it all on the field when the game is over. No one has the HEART it takes to win a game anymore...that HEART left when the bowl games was gone, along with PB

Normally in football, the QB is the 2nd most to get bashed because he is the so called "FIELD GENERAL"...

Are you a fan? If you are they are playing for you as well! Constructive critism, more like demolition critism. Football is a team sport and JWill is one of 22 players, I agree. How can the critism, good or bad just focus on him? I ask you to dig deep before you post. I know this is just a message board, but some of the messages have undertones that stink! If the heart left, then the mind was never there. You play because you love the game! JWill leaves it on the field.

Im sure he leaves everything on the field, i know the guy...ive never questioned his toughness because ive seen him take brutal hit after brutal hit and still get back up for the next play. I am a fan but i dont have that thinking of them playing for me...I dig deep before i post but im just calling it how its seen. and i will end my night of posting with this: JW makes mistakes, just like everyone else on this team and like other QBs in football but he can cut back on his mistakes but realizing he doesnt have to try and turn EVERY busted play into something big. he doesnt have very small hands so i know he can hold on to the ball. I wouldnt call any of that bashing...all it is is constructive critism, something JW can hear that will make him better.
