Why doesn't James take the job? I'm sure he likes his job at ABC and is getting well paid, but what an opportunity. Not only could he say that he was one of the last winners at SMU, but he could also say that he brought them back from the ashes. What a legacy. And forget if X and O's wise he isn't the best coach, he could sure bring in the recruits....And in my opinion recruits is 80 percent of the team. I mean a monkey could coach LSU and they would still be in the top 10. Anyway, Craig James is the best thing SMU has going for it. Hopefully, we use him well.

I'd rather give the job to Stat-Boy on Pardon the Interruption than Craig James

Why are all of you so against James. Maybe, is it because he new Bennett sucked and called a spade a spade when all of you were all up Bennett's ACE. I think it's a pretty big asset and were dam lucky to have a Mustang speaking in front of the free world on Saturdays. The one thing we got, and you all crap on it. It's Bennett followers like you that got us in this hole in the first place.

WRONG...1. how "nice" is this guys resume 2. has he got any lick of coaching experience? 3. do you really think he'll want the HC job? 4. seriously man, how strong is that koolaid?

He has no experience as a head coach and we need a guy who can win under some of the most difficult circumstances in 1-A. Craig and ED will be great ambassadors to the program when we start winning again.

I think what I'm saying might have some credibility and might turn out true:

You're using a Frog forum to justify the "credibility" of this rant? Look, he and Steve-O might play golf together or go get a beer sometime, but he has NEVER COACHED AT ANY LEVEL - not even an assistant position.

Get him involved again, if you like, but coaching? Ridiculous.
I really shouldn't drink and type.

SMU can't afford CJ. His 'salary' has increased exponentially since the last time he was 'paid' to be on The Hilltop.

Hasn't it been pretty well documented that CJ came to the Hilltop for the "triangle" not cash?
