Well, Stallion will no doubt tell you that Kragthorpe's success was in no small part atributed to Todd Graham.
That being said, I dare say that if any non-BCS school hires a head coach away from a BCS school, some people will take notice.

Is Kragthorpe a "home run" for SMU?

I suppose if you look at SMU as a non-bcs coaching graveyard that will never win a national championship, then yes.
Uggghh....

Damn on the way home I thought of Krapthorpe-but where did he go to College? I know he has NFL and aggie backround plus ties to Texas through Tulsa.

Yeah, I guess if you consider conning anybody into taking this job as knocking it outta the park....

Great, get Kreginthorpe whoever he is and give him 5 years, millions in advertising with BS Pony Up campaigns and it's time to drop football all together. Part of the reason we suck is because of a lack of outrage by people like the ones on this board when they hear those kind of names. All you people want is either Bennett back or another "let's give him a chance guy", "he's from texas, so now we can recruit the metrosexualplex". Sorry, but I'm PISSED THE F OFF.

Louisville has suffered a drop off this season. Havent they had a few bad losses? I could see the fans being disenchanted.
Kragthorpe would be an ok hire I guess, certainly nothing exciting about it, but ok. Will do nothing for fans or season ticket sales. He will have to win quickly to get any love.

He did put Tulsa football on the map. If he can get players to Tulsa, he should be able to get them to Dallas.
