Maybe it has improved since the last time I had it (2+ years ago). I might give it another chance based on their SMU support.

I have had the exact opposite experience. Sometimes you have to be the first person to say hello and not wait for others to come to you, but I have found everyone to be quite nice and welcoming. :D

Yes, which sometimes is even more intimidating for me----I'm not part of the "good old boys club". But I love SMU sports so I go anyway...and so far, everyone has been very nice to me. And I appreciate that.

Yeah but Bill and I are not in the GOOD old boys club, we are in the good OLD boys club. Much more likely a young lady will be approached in a friendly manner than a crotchity old man. Not sexist, just the truth. :D

Then I think you and Bill should come and sit with me and everyone else will be jealous at how much fun we are having. :D

Or, as Walter Brennan's character used to say on the TV series The Guns of Will Sonnett..."No brag, just fact!"

Thank you for that invitation. I, unfortunately do not have the opportunity to attend the BB games being that I am in Arkansas. I just like to stick my nose into everyone elses business.

I have the same experience and I have gone to most over the last saveral years. Get my snack and go back to the seat. This is true of many SMU athletic social events.[/quote]

Thought I was the only to notice that. My solution? Drink first. That way you can time your trip to the function to coincide with that part of enjoying libations when you'd just as soon not be spoken to.

Maybe some Pluckers Wings and Snuffer's Cheese Fries and a keg of beer!

Come on dude, we all appriciate that Pluckers has alot of SMU gear in it, but their food is downright awful. And gave me food poisoning once.

You probably didnt drink enough beer...and even enough of a bad thing is better than running out of everything at football games.
