Re: CUSA Expands
Will SMU have to pay an entrance fee to join CUSA and if so, what will it be? :hmm:

Hadn't thought about that angle. Sure hope you're right.Originally posted by ponyboy:
The immediate effect of this will be to breathe life into what has been a tough football season. Expect a game on Saturday.

It's good that CUSA made a smart decision based not on football prowess only.
Re: CUSA Expands
Until Hymen or another TCU administrator over there posts some facts, all the blow hards don't have a clue to what is really happening.
The truth might be that at the moment, staying pat is the best move. Because bigger changes could be further ahead. If all the bigger conferences go to 12 teams, then a current CUSA or MWC might not be as good as it now seems.
The only concern here is winning a few games and not getting anyone hurt in the process, while preparing the future for continued success

It looks like it is working out pretty well for everyone. I like Tulane and am glad to be in the same conference with them. They are class all the way. This is a very good move for SMU. If we ever get the football program turned around we will be a very good addition to C-USA. When you add it all up this is the best thing that has happened to us in a long time. All other sports will be more than competitive in C-USA. I hope that one day TCU welcomes us into C-USA with open arms. We did beat them in basketball and everything else last season.

I don't know about this. Hmmm... would I rather visit New O'lawns or Wyoming in the fall? Fresno? Gosh- this would be such a hard call for the OP.

I feel the same way. I was planning on making a family tradition out of a bi-annual trip to Boise, but I guess New Orleans will have to do.Originally posted by OldPony:

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
