Speaking of the NTSU-Arkie State game

Seeing as the Fightin Teachers played better at Arkansas State than SMU did, I looked up some of the other powerhouses that did what SMU (and admittedly Memphis too) couldn't, in topping Ark State:

* La-Monroe
* Middle Tennessee
* Troy (in a 27-0 shutout at ASU)
* Florida Atlantic

Ugh. Yes, they also gave Texas a game before losing. Still ugh.

Troy is the marquee team in that conference. They have actually beaten a team from a BCS conference(Ok St). I'd be willing to bet that they'd kill SMU. Another thing to note is that FAU is coached by Howard Schnellenberger. Needless to say that he could coach circles around PB.
