TCU needs a reality checkI would love to see TCU play one of many teams they are "ranked" over like Auburn, Florida or Texas Tech. They would get run out of the stadium. This toad arrogance of not wanting to be in a league with us is laughable. I can't wait to win the Conf USA Commish Cup for overall Athletics over TCU.

Re: TCU needs a reality checkCheck out Killerfrogs.com and prepare to vomit. They are claiming they could win the Big 12 and SEC. They are like some white trash hick who has won a lottery thinking they belong at Augusta.
Frogs- 3 or 4 years of beating weaks teams does not equate into a national power. Sneeking by Tulane and South Florida does not mean Rose Bowl time.
Re: TCU needs a reality checkThis Frogs team is no better than last year's. They just played an easier schedule this year. Have they played Houston (5-1)? Have they played Louisville? Have they played anyone out of conference other than sad-sack AZ? and the SEC's equivilant to SMU (Vandy).
Once again - same team as last year - yes - the one that we were quite competitive with in Ft. Worth. I honestly hope these guys are undefeated when they play us. Would make it that much better to bring them back to earth. Of course they will have to get by the Texas School for the Blind, UT-Pan Am, and Trinity first. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: TCU needs a reality checkIf I'm a TCU fan, I'm thinking how great life is at the moment. My team is undefeated (never mind the fact they play a relatively soft schedule), TCU is making headlines as the team most wanted by CUSA, The MWC and WAC and is currently ranked ahead of Texas and all my other former SWC mates in the latest USA/ESPN Coaches' Poll (secretly, I'm thankful I don't have to play UT, A$M & TTech which would expose where my team really ranks among that group).
When lowly SMU, Tulsa & Rice join my conference's football ranks, I can complain about how the league's RPI and reputation has been soiled (but the truth is I like the fact this affords my team an opportunity to remain the kingpin that much longer). If I do get an invite from the MWC, I can proclaim our administration did not accept the invitation because the mountain goats had the audacity to demand an entrance fee but could not guarantee BCS inclusion in return. I know in my heart that The MWC should PAY TCU if they really wanted my team to grace their conference. If SMU was in TCU's position, our attitude would be similar. It's got something to do with that "private school" arrogance so many of our public school competitors constantly berate us for. Gotta love it! Meanwhile, I agree with Stallion. If it hadn't been for TCU's success, SMU might still be operating under the Pye model, if not annually debating whether we should move to Division III (no scholarships for athletics). TCU's success has been the catalyst for change. Hopefully this CUSA thing will happen, TCU will still be there when we get there, and MOST IMPORTANT...that SMU will be competitive by that time.
Re: TCU needs a reality checkYou guys are dead right. TCU is the pits, and I would much rather us be 0-6 than where they are. Why our record shines compared to theirs, just that the national pollsters don't recognize that we have a much better team than our 0-6 record indicates. I think when we get to 0-11, the experts will see that we are really a lot better than TCU. Just wait.
Re: TCU needs a reality checkOh Look- Horned Frog waited in line for the computer at the Camp Bowie Library!
