Of Ford Stadium, on the SMUMUSTANGS homepage. It has to be the Tech game this year.

According to McClown, Ford is the reason why our recruiting is tanking. He said that over the recruiting thread.
Does he purposely act this stupid or is it just a gift?

Is that pic is from the KU-SMU game that opened up Ford Stadium? It's honestly amazing that SMU beat KU six years ago and now the Jayhawks are in a position to play for the national championship. Only in America!
I'm drunk...

There are a number of clues that tell me it is the 2007 opener against Tech.
1.Darker blue endzones.
2.Blue tarp around the practice fields... Gee wiz, those closed practices for six years have really paid off.
3.Students wearing white.
4.Overcast skies.
5.CUSA logos on field.
6.Red jerseys, we wore blue against Kansas.

having played football in high school and seeing other schools through the years and from a potential athlete before getting hurt my senior year, i would say SMU's facilities (most of which inside Ford) is just average. it doesnt help when you come to visit and the homecoming game draws 14k people. Ford was not a very expensive stadium to build, and it shows.
so when you add
-average stadium
-average facilities (weight room, locker rooms feel like you're in a pit)
-1-11 record
-pathetic attendance
would you want to go to SMU to play college ball? think about who we compete with for recruits, TCU, UofH, UTEP, etc. what would make you pick SMU?

Duh, possibly beautiful campus, a superior education, a more valuable degree, graduate school opportunity including Dedman Law and Cox and most importantly after school job opportunity. Have you actually seen the campus and athletic facilities at UH, UTEP and TCU? Why would you want to live in Houston or El Paso?

Have you seen AMC, Robertson, or the Sun Bowl lately? Ford Stadium is one of the nicest stadiums of its size outside the BCS.
And if you think Ford hurts recruiting, imagine Phil's successor recruiting with the Cotton Bowl.

Oh, good friend, i wish that made a difference. Have you ever heard Vince Young Speak? or, for that matter, any player on Florida (except Tebow), Florida State, LSU, Texas etc? do you think the up-and-coming hotshot recruits would possibly consider a graduate degree from SMU COX ore SMU Law as a reason to come to SMU? how is our "sports communications" program????
