Thought it was pretty interesting. You hear of college quarterbacks making it in another sport like baseball, but not nascar...

He's probably better at driving around an oval track than driving a ball 100 yds. downfield for a TD.

It's actually pretty funny because Dr. Jerry Punch almost always mentions him has "former SMU quarterback" whenever he makes a Busch race.

Dan Frieburger for heisman......genius. He put up amazing numbers, and I will say this, name me one QB in college football history who did not play football in high school, who could be hammered at the green elephant on a friday, have 1.4 seconds to get rid of the ball before being drilled for a sack on Saturday, throw for over 300 yards, and then be back at the elephant on saturday hammered again. There really should be a post season award named after the man.

Never knew that about Freiburger... the no high school fb thing. Apparently [deleted] Schaap profiled him when he signed with SMU -

oh....look at that....Dwan with some obscure knowledge.....interesting.

ok, now I'm getting cocky. seriously though, in 92, I would have liked to gotten Gino Toretta and Frieburger together at the Elephant and she who could drink more and pass for over 300 yards
