Orsini got his man. It is very much like coach D. So either you like the name or you trust Steve O. Either way, it is a HUGE step up over Bennett and we got Orsini;s first choice.....a guy he wanted this time last year.

Dwan, why can't you tell us or at least provide a list of several that it may be?

Also, are you saying that the announcement will come immediately after the next game?

it will be announced soon after the last game, it is up to Jesus, aka Steve Orsini our Savior when he wants to announce to get the best national press. The Park Cities will have a new millionaire in a few weeks.

Not to ruin anything, but if Dwan is right.... it will be someone we will all be excited about. He gave me/us a huge hint when he mentioned that Steve got the man he wanted this time last year.

I heard an interesting story about a deal with a big name coach that fell through at the end of last season. Said to be Steve O's top choice for the job, it sounded like idle fanboy speculation, but in a lot of ways it makes since. But very interesting.

Of course I may be very wrong.

And that's all I will say on the matter.

Actually it was a little over a week ago that I was sitting in the Austin airport reading a book awaiting a late afternoon flight to big D... I always use a sports ticket as a bookmark. Usually an SMU ticket. This day being no different.

I was sick, so my conversational skills were a little lacking, our conversation turned to the coaching search.... at some point, he goes into a tale "that wasn't reported on PonyFans".... at the end I looked at him at said -

"That would have been perfect."
"Yeah, wouldn't it have been?"

It's perfect.
