0-3 vs. Southern, Ala. St, and now Centenary all at HOME.
Somebody prove to me that we aren't watching the worst start in SMU basketball history.
Bring back Dement so he can be back here with his wifey --- at least she wins!

considering we were picked to battle ECU for last place in CUSA, I'm more concerned about how this group FINISHES than how they have started. I'm concerned that Papa Dia's disc problem will not allow him to finish the season and I want to see the FR improve and demonstrate that they can be competitive at this level

We are playing with basically a bunch of High School kids and a couple of upperclassmen that are lucky to be playing D1. Give it time.

I did their 3 top scorers were Juniors. So that means 2 more year of college experience than our kids. Our top scorer was the afore mentioned point guard who is lucky to be a D1 player and probably couldnt start at Centenary. Also why did Dia not play many minutes was he hurt?

does Derrick Roberts count? Hes a senior. Bamba is a junior too. And Centenerarys juniors were juco transfers. They had 2 games of D-1 experience before tonight! Doesn't Killens 100 D-1 games count for something? My friend, there was no excuse to lose to Centenary tonight at home. They ran us out of the gym in the first 5 minutes.

The last time SMU started 0-3 was 1990-91. Those frosh and sophs (Mike Wilson, Gerald Lewis, Tim Mason, Greg Kinser, James Gatewood, et al) won the conference two years later.

Ok, I'll bite. Who were the opponents for those first 3 games in 1990 and where were the games played? Nevermind, if we are so desperate to pull out factoids from 18 years ago to make us feel better, we worse off than i thought.

We are three games in to these guys career. And your argument for upperclassmen include Killen. That guy is horrible. He hits a couple of shots every once in a while to keep people hanging. Mike Walker did noticeably better than Killen tonight.

but those 3 games were not against the likes of Centenary or Southern; the losses were at Arizona St., at Pennsylvania, & Wisconsin.

According to DMN, the last time SMU lost its first three home games was 1974. There's no dressing this thing up.
