Saturday's game

Postby Corso » Wed Oct 15, 2003 11:34 am

Just read the PonyFans.com preview of Boise State on the home page. Question: How does Ryan Dinwiddie compare to Tech QB B.J. Symons? SMU held Symons to 297 passing yards and 2 touchdowns -- hardly a complete shut-down, until you consider that he's averaging 492.3 yards and 4.5 touchdown passes per game.

I think RD is just as good as Symons. Remember, the Ponies might have held Symons to under 300 yards, but that was his first game as a starter and as the undesputed leader of the Tech offense, and Tech was running the ball well. Dinwiddie started the last two years, and has had six games under his belt this year to get into the groove. He's going to be a tough one. (And I'm comin' down to see it!)

Go Ponies!

I know it would take a miracle, but how great woudl that be if God smiled upon us and we were able to notch our first win of the season against the one of the top teams in the WAC. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but that would be incredible. The other thing that would make my year would be if we were 0-11 when and undefeated tcu comes to town hoping for a shot at a BCS bowl (smirk) and then we were able to win somehow.....that would make the pain the rest of the year a little more bearable. I doubt any of that will happen though.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Against Tech, despite the blow-out, we chewed up the clock so Tech could not run as many plays as in later games. We had over 20, grind em out, first downs. Boise has a better defense. That will give their offense more chances.
Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!!
