Is Tommy in on Austin business? And why would he have been on a flight from Austin to Dallas?

I would say Tommy Bowden.
when was tommy bowden even part of the discussion?
For whatever reason, I've heard that there is some dissatisfaction with Tommy so it wouldn't surprise me at all if he is ready to make a change.
Living in the heart of ACC country, I can tell you this guy takes an unbelievable amount of crap. Google "fire Tommy Bowden" and you'll see all kinds of comments.
It's interesting how some of the more rural fan bases are: At Alabama, Clemson, West Virginia and Arkansas they're not happy unless they're unhappy with a coach. At West Virginia, they burned Bowden in effigy.
There's not as much to do in these outposts except grumble about the football team.

Good questions. Perunapower, are you in charge of his itinerary?

Nope. If I knew the answers, why would I have proposed them?

I'm disappointed. I was hoping that they were reality not proposals. I like the proposals, however!

I don't think the alleged coach-to-be was the one that Thad spoke to in the airport. It was an SMU fan. I could have misunderstood, but that's what how I read it.

Yeah, but why would this man act so surprised when he saw an SMU fan flying to Dallas to see a game?

Because we can't get people to walk across the street to go to a game most weeks?

Haha. So true. If Thad met another fan with insider info or he actually met this coach is fairly irrelevant. I'm just ready to know who this "wow" coach is going to be.

You will not be disappointed.
And the man I met was a business traveler, he lives in the Park Cities. Former board member (head?) of the Mustang Club. Still has many ties to the top brass there. In retrospect, I would doubt that he would have told me the intriguing tale of last season had he known the exciting events to come.
As I said, he started into the tale with the aside that this was something that was not reported on on ponyfans last year.... I think he felt comfortable giving me 'old' inside information, as it was just idle chatting in an airport.
We also talked about Austin, even though he grew up here he now loathes it... I tell him, I'm the opposite... I love it here.
... but you guys don't care about that part of the story ...
All I can tell you is the man he spoke of was the perfect choice. And falls precisely in line with Dwan's hints.
Besides, if I met a coach he would have had to swore me to secrecy - or it would have been on PF.com within the hour of my arrival in Big D.

True. It was wishful thinking on my part that you would have met a coach. Still exciting nonetheless.
