The coach needs to focus on recruiting and associating our uniforms with winning football!
I thought that the coach had at least some say in the uniform selection process...seeing as how these all-blue helmets with the red mustang are Bennett's darling, and he loves them to death. Wouldn't make sense (to me) for the department to step in and change that, or impose it themselves, unless I'm mistaken. If this is good info here, maybe it was selected with input from the head coach- the head coach that we may already have? This is fun!
All I'm saying is coaches come and go, but if you have an identifiable brand and uniform then your program stands tall. Just luck at Miami, how many coaching changes have they had? But everyone recognizes the Miami brand. Winning is the biggest factor, but I don't think Oregon is helping itself by changing its uniforms year after year.

I want the black cleats back. White crew socks, not that NFL sock with the color on top, white on bottom.
Since the announcement of the adidas thing earlier this year, I have been looking at other schools that have Adidas unis: Notre Dame, Nebraska, Kansas, Michigan, Tennessee, (blech) A&M, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Indiana. All schools with traditional college looks. That's what I want.
what if.....

great!! did not know that, being a FW boy. Just what we need is to play and dress like a high school team...even though I'm sure they got it from us.

Only change I would make is a red facemask. And let's combine the two: go with the numbers on the sleeves and "SMU' on the yoke. Otherwise, that's a classic, clean look anyone could fall in love with.
Who cares if that's what JJ Pearce wears? They stole it from us originally.

Naw. The Pearce uniforms have that God awful red slash running up the side from the waist to under the armpit. But the white helmets are nice.
