Can you read between the lines, or does everything have to be spelled out for your dumb [deleted]. Ok, the way our luck has been this season we will use our backup QB if JWill goes down and he will get banged up. What is the use in doing that. The season is over. Is that better?
so if our starter is hurt, we will go to our backup?! genius! i think we found our next coach!
Or Mapps? Mapps is the best option. Read the entire post slowsstang. Why would you play your backup for someone to rack up stats on, plus try to kill him. You also need to read before you post. Better yet, learn something about football before you post. The season is over [deleted]. The players that will be players next season need to go into the offseason healthy. Play one of the QB' s not on scholarship if the game gets out of hand one way or another.

this is the last time i post in response of your jibberish, for i think your ideas speak for themselves when you say Mapps should start at quarterback because he is our best option

You play the people that gives you the best chance to win. That is why we play the game, hello! If the game gets out of hand do you play someone that you will desperately need next season and take a chance on getting them hurt?
Jim, just so you know. You prepare to play the game during the off season and practices. That is where the work is done. Damn, idiots coming out of the woodworks. You do not prepare someone in the heat of battle. Prepare then play. [deleted] then wipe your [deleted]. Understand the concept Jim?

I truly hope not. I don't want Rhodes to see the field at all next season or the season after that. But if he HAS to get out there and play, the more experience he gets on this end the better.
Though this is all moot if Willis plays. I don't believe there is a single good reason to sit Rhodes if Willis is out.

Givens, since Sledge is graduating.
I do not think Sledge will graduate before Saturday, and Cory will be available to paly next year. But I do recall someone saying Mapps was a HS QB and he may be in the rotation also.
Sorry, I surely thought they were discussing QB's for next season. If JWill can't go Saturday, we will run the wing-t. We don't have any other QB's ready to play. This is not HS football. Learning a college offense is so much different. Please do not push these back-ups into a situation that will be get somebody killed.
I think Zach Rhodes is a big enough boy to handle it Saturday if Willis can not go. He was able to play last Staurday, why do you think he can not this Saturday.
What would be the point. Oh, to get him killed on the last game of the season. C'mon Mark Rydel, have more football knowledge than that. We need this kid next season. He has a promising future in CUSA. One day he will be our everyday starter, why take the chance on ruining it against Memphis during the last game of the year.
Be careful mark, I believe he has your house staked out!

With a name like quickstang you sure are slow. Nobody said he should start. If JWill is injured or the game is out of hand, one way or another, why take a chance on getting our back-ups injured. Play Mapps at QB and just run the ball, in hopes of running out the clock on this miserable season.

You gain valuable experience in the weight room, film room and practice. Playing Rhodes in the last game of the season for whatever reason is just plain selfish on the part of all you so-called football fans.

How is it selfish? What do I get out of Rhodes playing on Saturday?
This also makes you the very first person who has claimed an association with the sport of football in any capacity, to state that off the field work is a substitute for live fire experience.
And all this because you think he's going to get injured, or have his psyche permanently damaged?

What would be the point Cadillac? The season is a done deal. Hopefully the players with so much promise this season can finish strong. Where have you been Cadillac? We lose anybody on this team to injury it is catostrophic. We have no back-ups. We need Zack healthy going into the offseason. He will be valuable at QB, receiver and possibly even RB.

Given that you didn't actually address anything in the post you were allegedly replying to, there isn't much to say at this point.

How comical! Mark as bad as we are, if a recruit cannot make an immediate impact they do need to practice, practice, practice. The only way they see the field before their time is through the process of elimination (injury). We need to build a program here. It takes time. Not putting kids on the field that are not ready to play.
Mark, you would not like me if I was a recruiter at SMU. We would win immediately, but the SMU police force would have to be tripled. We need some thugs. No players living off campus. Football players all in one dorm policed by George Foreman and Rev. T.D. Jakes.
