Not a snowball's chance Davis leaves his cushy job down in Austin where Mack Brown will NEVER get rid of him to take on this job. Besides, he isn't anywhere near the top of our wishlist. If that's the best coach we can get at SMU, then all hope is truly lost.

Fran is not coming to SMU. Don't let your deep-seated desire for SMU's failure shadow your common sense. Orsini is not an idiot. Hiring him right now would do nothing to revitalize the program.

Orsini really is a master puppeteer. By letting names like Applewhite, Davis and Kragthorpe bleed out, he's making guys like Nutt, Barnett, Neuheisel, Bowden and Fran look that much better. By the time he makes an announcement, we'll be absolutely a twitter.

maybe he's the one renting the random mercedes/hummers/land rovers and putting different schools emblems on them to throw us off
