I didn't say take "lesser guys". What about this can you not comprehend? When you are taking flyers, which SMU invariably is doing all the time, take flyers on local kids rather than random california kids. there is no reason to think justin haynes type players are going to be any better than 15 kids found in the Metroplex annually. Several examples suited up for Centenary the other night. Another good example is Mike Walker. Sorry but there are many metroplex kids that have every bit of the talent and more upside than Walker. Nothing against these individuals, but if you want to recruit locally you have to show you are local program, not just talk about it. And if you think the players will flock to SMu when we start winning as you say, we'll see about that.
