actually I have been to Oxford...years ago when SMU played there. Thoroughly enjoyed the Grove.

I really do hope Fran and the Mrs reflect back on their TCU days and recall them as their "good old days"...and that they want to try to return to those days by moving to Highland Park and becoming a part of the SMU community

Yeah, I lived in nearby Tupelo for a couple of years and hit Oxford. It's really an underrated area, but Highland Park is Highland Park. Let's hope they're nostalgic.

Honestly, if they are nostalgic for FW, Highland Park is a far cry. Fort Worth has a very different vibe, part of the reason we moved back here after graduation.

My point was not that they necessarily liked Ft Worth...but that they may have preferred the smaller school, not quite as fanatical boosters, not quite SO MUCH pressure, etc...that they had at NM and TCU compared to Bama and A$M. Sounds like A$M will be subsidizing the salary the next few years as well.
