his team fought hard for him...right to the bitter end. I would say that TO call to "ice" the kicker that blew up in his face was a fitting end to Bennett's head coaching career. It just wasn't meant to be. I'm sure he will move on from here and hopefully catch on with a winning program somewhere...maybe he will be back at A$M under the new regime?

you can put the blame on Phil...poor calling late...bad luck with the Timeout...

but im going to have to blame Willis, for talking PB into going for it on 4th and 2...

i know he wants to win but lets extend the game...The D was playing pretty good down the strectch...

but blame shouldnt go to anyone now...seasons done with

My top two are the FG timeout and the sweep (or keeper or option or whatever it was) on 4th and 2 when the alternative was Butler, who is the only person on the team that has shown he is above goal line futility.

No blame for the timeout...what can you do? I have wondered when that would blow up on someone but that just happens..

I don't live in the area so I had to follow the game on the computer. I'm just glad the season is over. I know it doesn't really matter but I wanted them to win that game pretty bad. I was hangining on every play. One win over North Texas. I could have never predicted this. I thought for sure they would at least challenge for a minor bowl bid. Oh well, time to move forward.

6 games lost in OT or in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That is unbelievable.

C-USA referees suck by the way.

Bummer things didn't work out, but I wish Coach Bennett all the best in the future.

Good luck, Bennett. Your players fought hard for you today. Thank you for doing what you could for SMU.
