Well let's see if the soothseers (soothsayers) [depends if you are from West Texas or East Texas] are right.
Does the head coach job leak? or annouced within 24 hrs of the end of the Memphis game?
(Anticipating JTStang....This is a pun free post )

I vote no. December 3. There have been leaks going on since Bennett was fired. No one can tell which ones are true.

I vote no - SMU gets scraps from the table after other jobs are filled. Although one wildcard - FRAN - if he's the one it could be tomorrow, mon or tues.

They are soothsayers, and I vote no also.

well we know if Coach isn't hired in the next week and leaks don't appear in the next few days we might as well scratch off most of the WOW! hirers or at least conclude they are looking for the bigger better deal-and then we can start looking at the Frank Solich's and Harvard Coach Tim Murphy's of the world. Seriously if we go the retread route and Franchione is not availiable at least take a look at Dan McCarney who actually built a program out of nothing. If the pickens are this slim I may be off the head coach with experience route.Gary Gibbs is a better pick than any of these guys.

Darth hardly makes a mistake, but thanks for the reminder. Must be a West Texas vs East Texas thing!

After that halftime interview with Steve O. during today's game, I'm not optimistic about a 'WOW' hire any longer. If Steve O. had his 'pick' or was anywhere close to having it, he'd have been more animated during the interview. As it was, the interview was like listening to a eulogy...
Oh, and will someone please tell Steve O. that he needs to remove these two words from his vocabulary: death penalty.

If/when we are a successful, consistent Top 25 team, I want to hear the words "Death Penalty" all the time, as we flaunt it in everyone's faces.

While you are fixing that problem, will someone please also get rid of the red jacket. Blue jacket with red Mustang pin, thankyouverymuch.

Its a big hire and needs to be the right guy. However, for recruiting the sooner the better or you can completely write off the rest of this year's class!
