I must agree with Stallion on this, assuming the reporting is accurate. This is just another example of the courseness in society today. We see it everywhere. Unfortunately a lot of people find this kid of thing funny and acceptable.

I didn't read all of the post, but this fall's in the Rice Owl's lap. They had someone that turned them around in one season, and they had every opportunity to match. Rice failed their fans, they should be mad at their "higher ups" if anyone. Payup or shutup.

The MOB's antics are what you get when you have group of "musicians" who know more about "Dungeons and Dragon's" than a halftime show!

"Is that a marching violin?"

Weere the devils wearing Scarlet A's to remind TG of his adulterous past or did they just come out and remind him of whoring around on his ex-wife?

Wouldn't be surprised if the Mustang Band did a show like that.

Good grief... consider the source and move on. They're a bunch of bonafide freaks from Rice... what do you expect???

All I'm saying is that being controversial is a big improvement for them. I don't think I've laughed at a single halftime I've ever seen them do. At least "what will they do next!" is entertaining.

I am late getting to the thread, but I'm sorry, after reading the Tulsa board, it appears that the Hurricane fans are the "crybabies." Not Rice.

I agree, if the AWAY fans are PO'd at your halftime show, you've done a nice job. Y'all need to get this straight: The MOB cannot, and has no desire to march; they are in the business of SATIRE. Look it up. Yes, they could have used another term besides "[deleted]," but this idea that they have to apologize is absurd.

The MOB is the last of their breed, i think. UVA Pep Band did the EXACT same thing as the MOB from the 50's on through the 80's (?), that is until they went Morgantown and did a halftime show about how West Virginians marry their siblings. In front of the WV GOVERNOR. Not on their home turf, in MORGANTOWN. Think about that. Which is why after that, they didn't have a band at all for more than a decade, and they now have a generic marching band.

Only thing I agree with is the objection to the term "[deleted]" at a family sporting event. They should have given that more thought. Other than that: this is a band who runs around wearing fedoras and clown outfits. It's a JOKE, people. It's clear that they don't take themselves all that seriously, so why must everybody else.

They may be dorks, but that is far more clever than the MOB ever dreamed of being. I loved the Tetris in particular.

I try to pay as little attention to the Rice band as possible. Just glad they weren't at Ford for homecoming.

Their attempt at humor in their routines is consistently a wasted effort.

Which one of his sisters did the West Virginia governor marry?

It wouldn't surprise me if we continue to scehdule them for homecoming just to keep those losers off the field. It was bad enough that the cheeseball sitting behind us for the first half of the Rice game cursed like a sailor in front of our girls. I really wish people would think about the people around them when they speak.

There's a quick way to remedy that kind of behavior...;)
