I don't want Bartel to quit or get kicked off the team, but I do feel somewhat better knowing there was a plausible reason that caused Saturday's performance. That football team looked lost and utterly distracted. Having your starting qb part of an freaking intramural controversy would do it alright. No wonder Bartel played what had to be the worst game of his life. The rest of the team were a bunch of zombies out there too. Its like my son who played the worst game of his life the other day, completely listless, but said he was fine. When he got home a puked his guts out due to a sudden stomach virus. At least I can convince myself the Stangs are still competitors and want to play.
