I turned it on and they were up 20 and looked great and then started the turn overs. I think it may be me.
didn't these guys blow an 18 pt lead in the opening game?

I hate to say it but they seem to have problems when it is Roberts, Killen, Fall, and Ritter on the floor together. They seemed more active and fluid with more of the newbies playing together.

That was a recruiting problem by the previous two regimes, but just don't worry about that.

all you heard from Doherty on the recruiting trail last year is that he likes those guys who can move, handle, pass and shoot the ball. SKILL guys. I think we can expect a more athletic team 3-4 years from now, but will we have the key pieces? The defensive toughness? Rebounding tenacity? The guy who says "give me the ball" at crunch time? I haven't sen those characteristics yet from these FR, but it is way too early to tell
We just really need this win...BAD

Roberts is a little bit of a conundrum. He was relatively lightly recruited but then came on strong his senior year in high school and got lots of interest before finally signing with us. I expected more from him.

I did too. His injuries have been a setback. When I went to watch him play against Alabama St., he was a complete no show.

he's had chronic knee trouble since he arrived and that really appears to have held him down

How 'bout Papa? He's the guy who's impressed me most, potential-wise.
And Harp's having a bit of a coming out game.

I am happy with my brief look at the new guys. Hopefully they will come along quickly.

The foul shooting just awful -- again. Are they even 55 percent for the year?

FR playing with a bit more confidence tonite. That's what the "soft" schedule was supposed to accomplish.
