Congratulations to the team. This is a team that at times is close to a high school team, and Paul Quinn might be a poor team, but we could have lost to them, too - this, I would say, is far better. PQC has played four road games in five nights, and they played hard. They're not that big, and they're not that good, but we showed improvement. We have lightyears still to go on the improvement scale, but hopefully they have a small smile on their faces tonight.
Enjoy it, guys.
Now go get a second win.

hard to tell just from boxscore watching, but it is good to see that they actually beat them by a healthy margin and Papa Dia showed that he can score a little bit.

maybe the fact we got destroyed by southern, paul quinn beat southern, and then we destroyed paul quinn shows that we are improving....who knows.

Nice to get the win, they needed that. It was a coming out party for Ryan Harp tonight and it was great to see. Smart player that gives 100% all the time. I thought Bamba played a great game tonight also and was much more aggressive. Obviously a good night for Papa.

I'll have to say I enjoyed the first half more because it was mainly the freshmen plus Bamba playing. Roberts and Killen are somehow just frustrating to watch most of time to me.

Rebounding won the game tonight, and if they could exorcise the deamons of missed free throws and poor shooting it would really be fun.

Well, to be honest we didnt exactly "destroy" Paul Quinn. It was an 8 point game with 2 minutes left. The second half went up and down, we lead the whole way, but it was as close as 3, and most of the half it was under 10. We stretched the lead with free throws in the last 2 minutes, the final score isnt indicative of the game.

It got pretty quiet in there when PQ came out in the second half and got within 3. It was definetly a "oh no, here we go again" moment.

ok, but a win is not a win. I heard of a new school last night Alice Lloyd College. I am not kidding. They played Morehead State. Maybe we could get them on the schedule.

well you got a good game from Dia. Step in the right direction. I'm telling you that's what you focus on. Malone had real good game early in the season. Glimpse of future potential. That's all your going to see from freshman like this. Glimpses of the future.

Harp had a very nice stretch of about two and a half minutes in the first half...found his three point touch, a couple of rebounds, going after a loose ball...Doh even seemed fired up & pleased w/ Harp going into a timeout.

official attendance according to the box score was 2006. Legitimate butts in seats was closer to 500.
