Hey the man is not happy at all with his fans at Cal, And there's been alot of rumors about him leaving Cal for another job... I think that would be a huge WOW hire if SMU could pull it off .... Not to mention all the money you guys are willing to pay.

More likely that we would get Ty Willingham.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.

I'd be ecstatic - he's mentioned every year as a potential NFL head coach candidate - but there's no way this happens, of course.

He Sucks? Wow. Cal was 1-11 the year before he got there. He is probably the best college head coach around.

hmm, going from dirty hippies all over campus to starch-collared yuppies parading around would be quite the culture shock for him. I doubt he leaves Cal.

I never said I thought he would leave Cal... Just said i think it would be the WOW hire you've all talked about. The man can flat out coach football and there have been rumours all year on the rumour mill about how unhappy he is at Cal...

Well, if I had my choice between Carroll, Tedford and Spurrier, I'd probably choose Spurrier, but the fact is that none of those guys would even answer a call from Orsini, if he had cojones to make such a call. Of course, Tedford would be a WOW hire. Ain't gonna happen.

I'm not very busy this afternoon. Maybe I'll call him up and see if he'd be interested.
