There is not one single 1-A school that is remotely interested in Gary Gibbs. Stallion, are you his agent?

Yes he does. Being a condescending [deleted] gets him off. Some people have the ability to be right about something without coming off like that and others don't. Besides this is the chicken [deleted] who favors Gary Gibbs and Todd Dodge to RN.
Back off Warchild seriously.

doesnt mean its not him he still has too finish the season with baltimore

See A&M hire. This would not be an issue with Neuheisel. Even if he finished out his duties with the Ravens, there would be no reason not to announce it now.

The Dallas Cowboys interviewed him last year for their Head Coaching position. A&M offered him their DC position two years ago. He was the First hire of the New Orleans Coach. Places like OU, Auburn and LSU thought he was good enough to hire. He has more quality coaching experience than any of these guys.

Stallion...beggars can't be choosers, but OU fans remember Gibbs as a less-than-zero on the charisma scale...He is obviously a great defensive Xs / Os coach but...I don't know that he meshes with your emphasis on a dynamic recruiter who will quickly upgrade the talent roster.

He was hindered by the NCAA sanctions, clearly, and the Big 8 was dominated by good Colorado and Nebraska teams during those years...but talent at OU slipped every year under his watch, he waffled between quarterbacks and half the team walked out on him in a team meeting in the midst of '94, a 6-6 season.

I still have my "Gibbs Must Go" bumper sticker somewhere around here.

Yea - you would love to believe I have no credibility wouldn;t you? I never said there was NO interest, just a lack of interest. I don't know anything about Neuheisal though, except that this was about the sorriest excuse for a "scoop" or story that I've ever heard. I can assure you that SMU and Neuheisal are not even on each other's radar for serious consideration. This quote is about like you or I getting asked if we're interested in watching the national championship. Sure we're "interested" but who is really going to care if Mizzou beats WVU or vice versa unless you have some connection to the school.

I'm sure if I was on here every day saying crap like expony about Franchione you would all be hanging on every word I said too. Look I would want to believe too but I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

What do you think "lack of" means? Lack of = no.

"I never said there was NO interest, just a lack of interest"

Oh jezzzz....is that like "define is"?

"this was about the sorriest excuse for a "scoop" or story that I've ever heard"

did she say it was a "scoop"?

however why in the world would it be a "sorry excuse for a story" to report a nationally known football coach that has won the Pac-10 title, the Rose Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, and is a current offensive coordinator in the NFL is interested in the SMU head coaching job?

Maybe because it does not fit your negative assessment of our situation with the head coaching hiring process?

So who DO you know about? Or NOT know about (besides Neuheisal)? You take expony to task, who is pretty well thought of, yet I've seen nothing to validate your credibility. I get tired of your of doom and gloom. If that's truly the case, then fine. I can accept that, but back it up. Your statement about "would love to believe I have no credibility" is absurd. I certainly wouldn't speak for anyone but myself, but what have you provided at all in the validation of your statements? You may be right. I certainly have no information on what SO is doing. But if you expect to be taken seriously, you need to present something more substansial than these so called secret sources.

What do you want from me? You want me to name names? Get real. I am the only one on this board who has tried to maintain some sense of reality for people who want real information from inside the world of college football. I don't know everything but I try to post what I know in a manner that won't get me in trouble.

I'm not one of several idiots on here lying to you but yet I get bashed because my info is not what you want to hear. Well I have not been wrong one time - check it. But since you obviously don't appreciate getting it straight - f u - keep smoking the pipe and go back to waiting for Urban Meyer to come down from Orsini's attic. Later.

I'd smoke a turd if I thought it would help.
