Win. 66-60.

It was way too close, but they pulled out the win. Down 47-40 in the 2nd before we went on an 8-0 run. It was an ugly win, but they all count the same in the win column.

We won, 65-60. Tougher than it needed to be, we went cold for awhile and SFA actually took a 7 point lead. We had to claw our way back in. Good that we still won, even if it wasnt a thing of beauty Wills had 18, Janielle had 17, and moved into 3rd on the all-time scoring list. Jillian Samuels had 13, I think. Sharee Shepherd had at least 5-6 blocked shots, but I havent seen the box score, yet.

According to the GameTracker, she had 4 blocks, 6 boards and 1 steal.

I was pleased to see Delisha have a big game. Now, if Alice would jumpstart her game, we'd be in even better shape.

At least we have one sport at SMU where we can consistently win even if we play bad. Good job girls!

I guess that's the bright spot, we had a bad cold spell, but still won. Looking at the stat sheet, it's a wonder that SFA was in the game at all, we held them to 29% from the floor and 17% from the 3-point line. We blocked 9 shots and forced 17 turnovers. We just didnt shoot well, ourselves, even our free throws were well below the teams average.

We need to play better at UNT, they're playing well this year, and that gym has always been a tough place for us.

That's exactly what I thought. This team always has an off night here and there, and the last few years it has been costing us with bad losses. It's great to see us survive and find a way to win even when we aren't having a great night shooting.

Every team has the occasional off-night. Last night definitely was one - we looked like crap. The difference is, a lot of teams have an off-night and circle the drain. SFA isn't a great team, but they hustled and hit a ton of shots in the second half. We found a way to win despite playing horrible - everyone (until Wills late in the game). To me, getting a win out of a performance like that is very encouraging.
