One way or another Paul Johnson's last game at Navy will probably be this Saturday. He either comes here or lands somewhere else-

Houston Nutt was the guy we were going after. We offered him the job, we were talking to Sexton, was a done deal and Ole Miss came in and stole him for us. Nutt was the WOW I was refering to. Personally a guy with 10 years of winning in the SEC coming to SMU would be a WOW, but thats me. Looks like him beating LSU was the worst thing that could have happened to us.
Looks like we are now going after backup plans and making a strong push for Paul Johnson at Navy.
But then again, my info was wrong before, hopefully it is wrong again.
From all your previous posts, I honestly never picked up that you were referring to Nutt as "the guy". I'm afraid your source/information was incorrect all along then. SMU never offered Nutt the job.

I also recall you acting like an arrogant [deleted] to a lot of folks on here. I respect Dwan - you, not so much. Nevertheless, Nutt was never coming here. It was never a matter of Nutt's interest here, as much as SMU's lack of interest in him.
But you knew it all, didn't you?

Bowden can be crossed off that list.

Checkout the Louisville board... the Kragthorpe thing appears to still be in play.

I haven't checked it out. But, if you recall, I also said that I heard Kragthorpe had been offered. But it was SP that was coming around here saying it was a done deal. Remember? Not saying it won't happen now, but SP was wrong.

Actually, no... I don't remember "coming around here saying it was a done deal" (quoting you, here). If you could please provide us all with a link to where I said what you are quoting, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
