Cutcliffe

Has anybody thrown out there David Cutcliffe? It fits the previous HC criteria. I'm not sure of the timeline, but was Turner still at Ole Miss when they hired him after Tuberville? That would also explain the waiting for the season to end issue still UT still has the SEC championship to play.

He got a raw deal from UM and would be a heck of a hire. A stand up guy that has a strong history of coaching up quarterbacks.

Purely speculation...but something fun to think about.

He's been on my possible list from day one. Ties to Turner, some success at Ole Miss, in his sixties, so not likely to leave. Tennessee is in the SEC championship game and if they win go to a BCS bowl in early January. Not a WOW hire, but we have done much worse.

I had not given him much thought, but I think it would be worth a shot. He's had success developing quarterbacks at the college level (see both Mannings).
